Kindness can be shown in many ways, including caring for animals. This is what Nadila Peratiwi, a sixth semester student of Islamic Education at Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Curup, has been doing by adopting and caring for stray cats.

Nadila Peratiwi has become known among her friends as someone who has a deep love for animals, especially cats. For the past three years, she has been adopting and taking care of stray cats that she finds on the streets.

According to Nadila, her journey started when she found a small kitten that looked hungry and weak on the side of the road. Feeling sorry for the animal, she decided to bring it home and take care of it.

“I felt really sad when I saw the kitten. It looked hungry and had no place to go, so I decided to help it,” Nadila said during the interview.

whenever she finds them. Currently, Nadila has around seven cats living in her house. Most of them were found on the street or abandoned by their previous owners.

Taking care of many cats is not always easy. Nadila explained that she needs to prepare food regularly and sometimes pay for medical treatment when the cats are sick. However, she said the challenges are worth it.

“I feel very happy when I see them healthy and playing. It makes me feel that my effort is meaningful,” she said.

As a student of Islamic Education, Nadila also believes that caring for animals reflects the values taught in her religion. She explained that Islam encourages people to show compassion toward all living creatures.

Through her actions, Nadila hopes that more people will show kindness toward stray animals. She encourages the public to treat animals with care and avoid hurting them.

Her story shows that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference for living beings around us.
